The Vice President, Commercial Management, Europe is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the commercial operations within our largest European Markets. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive revenue growth and develop innovative strategies to expand market presence. In this role you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align commercial initiatives with overall business objectives, ensuring the organization's competitiveness and sustained success in the marketplace. This individual must possess the ability to collaborate effectively, build followership, and drive consensus across diverse partner groups in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies, including market access initiatives, market penetration, and product/service expansion.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and preferences to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth.
Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as finance, Legal, market access, and product management to ensure alignment and synergy across the organisation
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of commercial initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the commercial landscape, proactively implementing strategies to minimize their impact.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in all commercial activities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, partners, and regulatory bodies, to communicate commercial strategies and results effectively.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience; MBA preferred.
10+ years managing people.
Life Science or equivalent industry-related experience preferred.
Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within commercial operations, sales, and marketing preferably in a related industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Travel Expectations: Anticipate travel requirements of 50-75% to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee regional commercial operations.
Language: Must be fluent in English, another regional language is a plus
