Sales Specialist – Credit Solutions (CS)
Preference of Location, in order: Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt.
The Team:
The CS Sales Team will be a focused and dynamic team responsible for renewing and growing the suite of Ratings content products and solutions which contribute solid high single digit growth annually. These include RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress & CreditPro.
The team will have a book of business to renew and grow with responsibility within Northern Europe.
The team will have exposure and responsibility to interact with prospects and clients across commercial segments including Investment Managers, Investment Banks, Private Equity firms, Commercial Banks, Insurance Companies and Corporations, demonstrating how the Ratings content products can underpin their Credit and other workflows.
The CS Sales Team are supported by a team of Pre Sales Engineers to provide deep subject matter expertise to support renewal and new business conversations.
The Impact:
The C&RS business is a significant contributor to the overall growth of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division. The CS suite is a critical piece of this growth story as the distribution channel for Ratings valuable proprietary content. Maintaining the existing book and continuing its historically consistent growth rates is critical to C&RS’ growth.
We are at the forefront of helping clients navigate the ever-changing market and regulatory landscape. For example, Ratings Direct’s rich and timely research on the impact of current global phenomenon such as inflation and regional conflicts on Credit markets, and many rely on historical ratings performance in times of economic turmoil to feed into future scenario modeling. Flexible delivery mechanisms enable Ratings content to underpin many client workflows.

This is a critical role in the C&RS Sales organization.
As a Sales Specialist you will be part of a dynamic team demonstrating the growth potential of the CS suite with dedicated sales focus.
You will be a critical voice of the customer as input into product and commercial strategy and as such will have senior leadership exposure in strategy and planning sessions.
As the CS and the C&RS business grow, there will be opportunities for growth as a leader as the C&RS Sales team grows.
The importance of the Ratings Content to our client’s workflows means the Sales team enjoy senior level client relationships and will have opportunities to build relationships with stakeholders across the MI division and across S&P Global.
Responsibilities:
Meet individual growth goal / quota which can be achieved through:
Renewing and growing a book of existing RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress, CreditPro relationships
Selling new Credit Solutions into greenfield C&RS clients
Referring Risk Solutions
Build and execute on book of business/territory strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion
Adopt structured and disciplined approach to tracking activity, pipeline accuracy and forecasting
Embrace a customer focused, diagnostic selling approach
Partner closely with other internal stakeholders, such as Product Management, Market Development, Marketing, Legal and Client Support teams
Identify and develop revenue synergy and cross-sell opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
The C&RS sales organization value partnership, relationships, and communication. It is crucial that you model these attributes. In addition, we are looking for:
A strong commercial mindset with prior experience selling to, speaking to, or interacting with credit personas is mandatory
An understanding of fixed income / credit markets gained via experience at financial institution, asset manager or financial data / technology firm
Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills. Confidence in meetings, presentations and dealing with senior executives and decision makers over the phone or in person
Creative thinking and problem solving to drive solutions that address client needs with the suite of Credit Solutions
Collaboration with sales teams and other stakeholders across the C&RS business and across Market Intelligence to identify and drive synergy and cross sell opportunities across the MI suite of products and solutions

Candidates located in Amsterdam must be bilingual in Dutch & English.
Candidates located in Germany must be bilingual in German & English.
