Philips Market Tax Manager France, UKI and Nordics in Amsterdam, Netherlands
By joining Philips as you will amongst others be responsible for taxes in the markets France, Nordics and UKI (subject to change). You will operate in the playfield between tax areas, business, markets, finance, supply chain management, IT and external partners. This role
requires not only international tax knowledge and hands on mentality but also good understanding of business needs, operational processes and external developments.
Your role:
Ensuring co-ordination of timely and accurate submission of tax returns of all entities in the region.
Managing tax (corporate tax, VAT, customs) audits, ensuring favorable outcomes that protect both the past and future positions of the organization.
Reviewing the monthly, quarterly and yearly tax provisions, tax cash flows and fiscal post calculations, including proper assessment of uncertain tax positions of all the entities.
Assisting with transfer pricing matters, ensuring up to date transfer pricing documentation and providing guidance on intercompany transactions.
Identifying tax planning opportunities in the region and formulating efficient tax strategies.
The above involves working closely together with local finance teams, colleague tax managers, tax functional specialist as well as external advisors.
You are part of:
The global Group Tax team, consisting of tax colleagues in the direct tax, indirect tax and tax accounting area. The Group Tax team is headed from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Furthermore, there are tax colleagues in the Philips’ offices located in the major countries in the rest of the world. You will report to the Head of Tax for DACH, CEE located in Germany. The role can be located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands or Hamburg, Germany.
You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in tax Law/Accounting.
At least 6-8 years’ relevant international experience in accounting firms and/or MNCs.
Exposure to internal tax laws and systems, preferably both for direct and indirect taxes (including VAT and trade and customs).
Hands on experience dealing with tax authorities during audits.
Excellent communication, business partnering and project management skills.
Team player with ability to work as individual contributor as well as with people across functions, culture and from all levels within the organizations.
