Role Overview:
In this dynamic role, you’ll design innovative programs tailored to the unique challenges of our diverse teams, blending compassion with data-driven insights to address their physical, mental, and emotional health. You’ll connect with leaders, champion wellbeing ambassadors across Europe, and shape the future of workplace care in a fast-paced, purpose-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wellbeing Programs – Design, Development, and Implementation
Analyze associate needs, recognizing the unique stressors faced by veterinary professionals.
Create and execute programs promoting the physical, mental, social, and emotional health of associates.
Partner with Internal Communication to enhance awareness and access to wellbeing initiatives across clinics and office locations.
- Data-Driven Wellbeing Strategy
Utilize data points such as MAS (Internal survey) and first-year turnover rates to identify root causes and opportunities for associate health improvements.
Collaborate with P&O Systems to establish visibility into absence, health, and wellbeing data collection and analysis.
- Wellbeing Champion Network
Develop and nurture a community of wellbeing champions across the AniCura network.
Foster peer-to-peer collaboration to drive grassroots health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Partnerships and External Relationships
Regularly connect with the Mars Ombudsman and AAP provider to gather insights and co-create impactful solutions.
Represent AniCura in external networks to adopt and influence sustainable wellbeing practices within the veterinary industry and beyond.
- Health and Safety Guidance
Work with Compliance and Legal teams to provide group-level direction on health and safety matters in clinics.
- Capability Development in Wellbeing
Collaborate with Talent Development to integrate key wellbeing competencies into onboarding and development programs for managers and associates.
Ensure continuous learning opportunities are aligned with associate health priorities.
- Benefit Provider Management
Develop and oversee relationships with key health and wellbeing benefits providers.
Be an active member of external networks to contribute to developing sustainable processes/systems/interventions/ways of working which positively influence the lives of associates in the vet industry and wider where appropriate
Summary

Reports To: Head of P&O AniCura
Location: Netherlands [Preferred] / Germany / Belgium [Hybrid working]
Languages: Proficiency in English and any other European language is a plus.
Contract: Full Time
Employment Visa: Preference for Candidates with a Valid Work Permit
Other key relationships: Member of AniCura P&O Leadership Team, close collaboration with Head of Business Partnering, P&O Market Leads and Global/EU Health and Wellbeing teams in MVH/Pet Care.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Health and Wellbeing, preferably within a multinational organization.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive programs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data analysis and benchmarking to inform decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven leadership experience, including the ability to lead non direct reporting cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
