We are seeking Direct Support Staff (DSP) to fill a number of various positions in our supported living homes throughout the area. We have full-time and part-time positions available. Requirements Include:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Be a high school graduate, have a GED, or demonstrate the ability to provide services according to a plan of service.
- Be certified in first aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Have a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance
- Have satisfactorily completed a criminal history check.
The General Job Description Includes:
- Provide direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities - ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and other activities of daily living, while promoting their independence and self-determination.
- Encourage and facilitate the participation of individuals in social, recreational, and vocational activities, both within the program and in the broader community.
- Promote and teach essential life skills, including communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-advocacy, to enhance independence and empower individuals.
- Observe and document individual progress, behaviors, and any incidents or changes in health or behavior, adhering to all confidentiality and reporting
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that respects and values the diversity, rights, and choices of individuals
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, guardians, and external service providers to ensure coordinated care and seamless delivery of services.
- Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all individuals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: \$13.00 - \$15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 40 per week
