Senior Manager Technical & Digital Services Location: Amherst, NY Position Responsibilities:
To provide supervision, mentoring and guidance to the technical consultant and digital education teams, ensuring the key processes of education and after sales support are skillfully executed in order to meet or exceed department goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
Management (with people reporting responsibilities) -
Create and maintain a safe, secure, diverse, inclusive, engaged and compliant work environment that empowers employees to achieve departmental and company results
Adhere to the corporate code of conduct
Plan, organize and maintain department control in support of executing corporate and departmental business objectives that ensures productivity, goal achievement, budget and forecast adherence and allows for effective and efficient operations
Recruit, select, onboard, and train new employees
Lead and execute performance management activities to include DIALOG and performance improvement plans that support employee development
Commit and foster adherence to the company's quality management system and timely execution of tasks assigned within it
Work together with fellow managers in a professional, respective and collaborative manner
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and manage curriculum to support both center based and in-field courses, to include course descriptions and agendas, training aids, training literature and audiovisual presentations
Create training modules for sales force training and development
Provide in-house and in-field training which may include seminars, lectures, clinics, sales demonstrations, trade shows and meetings
Evaluate new technical products and equipment taking market needs and customer expectations for quality and efficiency into consideration
Report findings of product evaluations to the product development team through both written reports and audiovisual presentations
Review and edit instructions for use for new products, ensuring they accurately and concisely convey all key product details to the customer
Develop technical support materials for use by customers and Ivoclar employees
Your Qualifications:
College degree preferred
CDT required (or RDT for Canada), or equivalent job experience
3+ years of experience in technical support and troubleshooting
Background as a Dental Technician required to include experience in conventional fixed
and removable processes and commercially available CAD/CAM systems
Teaching experience and platform speaking ability required
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and phones
Ability to operate dental equipment to include ceramic and pressing furnaces, denture processing equipment and laboratory or chairside mills
