FI Rep Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00

Provides Fiscal Intermediary support at meetings to ensure SD services are being provided in accordance to regulations, guidance, and the individual’s budget plan. The Fiscal Intermediary Representative is the first point of contact for service recipients. Provides Life Coaches/Support Staff/Individuals/Families mentoring to ensure quality services are provided that support our Agency’s Mission ensuring that individuals served have opportunities to make choices, develop and achieve their full potential, participate in the community, maintain good health and secure personal future, to be treated with respect and dignity and experience personal relationships. Responsible for ensuring confidentiality is strictly maintained concerning all agency related information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides mentoring of services and integrated, active programming under direction consistent with all applicable regulations and in conjunction with the individuals approved SD budget.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for individual, families and COS

  • Promotes an environment in which individuals’ rights are upheld and individuals thrive. Ensures regulatory and agency compliance requirements are met so individuals are cared for in a human, programmatic and comfortable manner.

  • Assumes leadership role in the development and sustenance of positive interpersonal relationships and liaisons with individuals, families, advocates, employees, the surrounding community/neighborhood and others important to the support of the Agency’s mission and objectives.

  • Attends Life Plan and COS meetings as needed

  • Work with brokers to develop and/or amend budgets based on the wishes of the plan owner and their COS. Act as liaison with the DDRO to ensure plans are submitted for approval as needed.

  • Track and monitor spending via approval and distribution of monthly expenditure reports.

  • Review/approve monthly broker billing.

  • Facilitate launch meetings, including review of all related documents.

  • Ensures compliance to applicable Federal/State/Local and other governing entities’ rules, regulations and law.

  • Ensures each individual’s files are maintained with the required documents

  • Ensures DDP2’s are updated every two years for Self-Directed Services.

  • Ensures compliant Staff Action Plans/Life Plans are received following Life Plan/COS meetings.

  • Coordinate and submit annual housing recertification

  • Responsible for ensuring that individuals and families have all necessary resources available and provided to staff to ensure their successful completion of duties

  • Assists Individual to Hire and co-supervise self-hired staff

  • Utilizes and manages available human resources in an effective manner to assist with the hiring process of staff. Such as communicating with brokers, families and individuals.

  • Creates and sends ECF’s for staffing changes to Director for approval.

  • Approves staff’s Employee Time for proper completion to ensure they are billable.

  • With input from the specialist, provide coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions to self-hire staff as needed.

  • Review monthly summaries to ensure proper completion and billable.

  • Ensures appropriate, effective and timely communication across all program settings. Keeps staff informed and trained on policies and procedures in a timely and clear manner

  • Reviews, Schedules and provides documentation trainings for new staff and or current staff if needed due to concerns and or request. (Specialist Role)

  • Assumes leadership role in new project assignment that support Agency strategic plans.

  • Participates or chairs agency committees, meetings, and training as required.

  • Responsible for fiscal management duties to ensure sound fiscal accountability within individuals’ Rep Payee accounts when applicable.

  • Identifies and takes the necessary action to improve quality in all areas of responsibility and effect change in a timely manner.

  • On call for emergencies (including incident reporting).

  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years supervisory experience and/or completion of agency Management Training.

  • Valid New York State Drivers License that meets agency policy.

  • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from individuals, staff, regulatory agencies or members of the community.

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.

  • Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.

  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically as required by prescribed program/plan.

  • Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the supervision and development of Life Coaches and Support Staff
