Insight Global Data Conversion Specialist in Amherst, Nova Scotia

Job Description

A large healthcare client's Information Management and Information Technology group is looking for a Data Conversion Specialist to conduct OPOR (One Patient, One Record) program activities relating to data archiving and migration.

The Data Conversion Specialist will report to the Director, OPOR, Technology and Integration. The Specialist will provide guidance and expertise to the OPOR Programs leadership team based on their extensive experience with data migration and archiving. They will provide input to ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture. The Data Conversion Specialist will foster an excellent relationship between Oracle Health, Ellkay, other vendor partners and OPOR leadership, ensuring timely and smooth project deliverables across Nova Scotia.

The Data Conversion Specialist performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

 Support and enhance the data migration and data archiving strategy for Nova Scotia

 Support and align with Nova Scotia Healths enterprise data architecture

 Develop and enhance data governance processes and strategic approach across multiple go lives.

 Maintain and foster strong relationship with vendor and various partners

 Support skills development for OPOR Technology and Integration team members

 Attend in-person meetings as needed

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

-5 to 7 years leadership experience with enterprise-wide data migration and archiving programs, and services in the healthcare sector

-Extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of data conversion that includes extraction, validation, migration, archiving to support an enterprise-wide Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) solution.

-Extensive experience working in cross-functional teams in extracting, archiving, and migrating data from disparate legacy hospital information systems into Cerner Millennium and Ellkay platforms

-Demonstrated experience in communication and delivering architecture education and training, including technical diagramming and writing

-Experience with Ellkay suite of tools for data archiving

-Knowledge of data management processes, database integration, data warehouse and data lake architectural models

-Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience.

-Project management experience -Cerner certification an asset

-Project management experience an asset null
