Job Description
Iowa DOT District 1 Traffic Operations Engineering Intern
The Iowa DOT’s District 1 team (central Iowa) is looking for a candidate to assist with transportation systems management and operations activities. We are seeking a student with aspirations of a career in traffic and safety engineering and are wanting to help you along in your journey.
The candidate will be working with the District Transportation Systems Management and Operations engineer to review existing traffic conditions to assess operational and safety measures, recommend ways to improve travel on the system in central Iowa, and provided for a safe and efficient transportation system for all users.
Duration : May-December; 40 hours/week
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Requirements: Completion of at least two years in engineering at an accredited four-year college or university with eligibility for junior status upon return to school.
