Summary
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to join our team in providing essential support to our academic leadership. In this role, you’ll coordinate administrative services for our associate deans, serve as the welcoming face and receptionist for the Dean’s Office, and step in as backup support for the college dean.
Key Responsibilities:
University and College Awards and Grants Management: Coordinate the University, Foundation and college awards and internal grants processes for faculty and staff.
Support for Leadership: Manage associate deans' commitments, committees, and obligations by prioritizing calendar, attendance, phone, and walk-in appointment requests.
Events & Coordination: Help organize college events ensuring these impactful moments run smoothly.
Office Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the administrative office including greeting visitors, key and card access coordinator, ordering supplies, mail.
The successful candidate will exhibit effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, have the ability to maintain discretion with proprietary and confidential information, possess the ability to work independently and as a team in a professional environment for a large, complex academic college, and have exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
