The Director of Marketing and Business Development, EMEAI is responsible for demand generation, win rates and growth for the EMEAI region for all products and services, as well as define strategic approaches for business development, contribute to growth strategies and work on G2M tactics.

This position is part of the Commercial Team and will be located, either remotely or hybrid, in one of the European countries (full working permit required). The role reports to the VP Commercial, and GM, EMEAI.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a team of Market Development Managers and Marketing Professionals across the region to lead demand generation process, achieve lead volume and quality targets.

  • Ensure regional execution of trade shows and marketing campaigns to drive opportunity funnel development and increase win rate.

  • In close cooperation with the global marketing and the BU, develop and implement growth strategies and action plans that will generate growth for our various customer segments leading to increases in market share (Develop and maintain regional Market Model).

  • Define and refine in cooperation with the Regional Sales Directors, District Sales Managers and Leadership the optimal GTM strategy for our various customer segments for all products, including aftermarket sales goals.

  • Act as a key partner to regional finance in supporting forecasting and financial planning.

  • Work with business unit and marketing team to help define new product opportunities, develop positioning and ensure success during new product introductions.

  • Lead the execution of value propositions & competitive differentiated positioning based on deep customer segmentation and understanding of their buying criteria & needs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 8/10+ years marketing experience with outstanding history in lead generation and conversion.

  • History of attracting, developing, and retaining talent through effective feedback, coaching and succession planning to support business growth and associate development.

  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership with ability to work execute across boundaries and matrices.

  • Track record of analyzing complicated issues, synthesizing salient points, developing action plans and executing for results.

  • Life science-based University degree, in addition to MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong understanding of life science analytical instrumentation companies, products & markets.

  • Detailed knowledge of global technological developments and trends in the markets in which SCIEX operates.

  • Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.

  • Ability to work in a global, matrixed environment and with frequent travel (up to 30%)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills supported by strong business acumen.

  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, to engage, influence and get buy-in from all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong work ethic with ability to manage and prioritize a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities, and challenges on a daily basis.
