MEDICAREMD.COM Corporate Paralegal in AMERICAN FORK, Utah
This position will be hybrid 2-3 days a week in our American Fork, UT office
Job Summary The Paralegal is responsible for assisting attorneys in all phases of corporate matters, including all stages of corporate transactions, corporate maintenance, and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations in the conduct of business activities, as well as throughout the litigation process.
What You Will Do * Under the direction from the legal team, the paralegal will work with the attorneys and paralegals on contract management, compliance management, and legal administrative projects * Assist with preparation and filing routine forms and/or applications, including certificates of incorporation, amendments, change of registered agent, qualification/assumed name filings, intellectual property and other legal documents, ordering of documents from corporation service company, and providing basic data regarding subsidiaries to internal clients * Manage detailed files, document coding and imaging and other support functions, entering large amounts of data into various legal systems, including the contract and administration system * Draft, review, and revise a variety of template contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, customer agreements, amendments and correspondence * Assist with contract follow-up, processing of subpoenas, garnishment orders and other information requests * Assist legal staff with due diligence requests and legal research * Provides general administrative support for the Legal Department * Participates in special projects, including those relating to continuing legal education, proofreading, legal research, policy rollouts, matter management system, contract management system, central filing system, library maintenance and performs other duties as required Travel/Physical Demands * Travel typically less than 10% * Office environment with no special physical demands required Qualifications
What You Will Have * 3 to 4 years of experience as a corporate paralegal with a focus in contracts, compliance, and/or a regulatory environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel * Excellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities * Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Customer service-oriented with a focus on resolving complex issues * Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information * Team player with the ability to manage conflict and work effectively under pressure * Capable of building productive relationships across multiple organizational levels Nice to Haves * Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal certification The posted range for this position is$52,000 - $65,000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
