Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Specific responsibilities and duties of this position include machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installations within a high-volume, continuous-run working environment. You will perform predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility, including lubrication and reading mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. Responsibilities also involve troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical components; troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls (AC/DC), pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic equipment; fabricating equipment (welding arc and gas); installing conduit; and observing mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. Additional tasks include dismantling devices to remove defective parts, examining parts to detect imperfections, inspecting used parts for dimensional changes, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, and installing special functional and structural parts in devices. You will also lubricate and clean parts, start devices to test their performance, and operate metalworking tools such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders to make and repair parts. Initiating purchase orders for parts and machines is also part of the role.
