SUMMARY
Bering Global Solutions, is seeking full-time Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Specialists for supporting the Air Force at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma. S&C specialists will be part of a holistic team of human performance (HP) specialists supporting the US Air Force. S&C specialists will prepare USAF pilots for the physical demands of flying operations. Daily activities for the S&C specialist may include programming, fitness assessments, one-on-one or group coaching, or teaching S&C academics in a traditional classroom setting. S&C specialists will have daily contact and interaction with AF trainees and military leadership, as well as other staff members, contractors, and vendors. As such, the selected party must adhere to the highest standards of conduct throughout the course of their daily activities and apply appropriate relationships with trainees, customers, and teammates.
Salary Range - \$55,000 to \$61,000
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrate persistent and effective coaching presence and attitude
- Be able to identify points of performance and common movement faults
- Provide effective tactile, verbal, and visual cueing
- Maintain personal fitness and demonstrate quality movement
- Teach and demonstrate S&C fundamentals
- Conduct S&C assessments
- Design and update training programs and curriculum
- Teach traditional classroom blocks of instruction related to health, fitness, and physical performance
- Utilize human performance technology to inform programming, assess athletic performance, etc.
- Evaluate and provide written professional assessments on emerging technology
- Build rapport with students and motivate them to achieve higher levels of performance
- As appropriate, be an effective leader, teammate, and collaborative staff member
- Regularly participate in staff training, scheduling, and other meetings to support the program
- Effectively work with frequent changes, interruptions, and varying environmental conditions
- Maintain strong communication (written and oral), leadership and organizational skills
- Be familiar with, follow, and apply designated AF training and safety directives and guidelines
- Maintain all professional credentials and licensure
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. Degree in accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline
- Possess and maintain current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
- Creditable specialized experience includes: developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport/mission-specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with elite athletes (e.g., Division I collegiate, Olympic, professional level athletes or Special Operations Force (SOF) - specific tactical professionals)
- 3+ combined years of tactical, collegiate, professional, and/or Olympic athlete strength and conditioning experience
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certification. (Certification cards must display the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross emblem; Web-based classes do not meet required standards)
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively with Airmen and staff
- Ability to pass and maintain Tier 1 clearance
- Demonstrate sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity such that they can relate to a variety of Airmen from diverse backgrounds
Preferred
Master\'s Degree in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC)
National Strength and Conditioning (NSCA) Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F)
Functional Range Systems FRCms or Kinstretch
CrossFit Level 2 or higher
Ability to operate a computer utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel
