County of Blair Seasonal Groundskeeper in Altoona, Pennsylvania
Under general supervision, our hire cares for and maintains buildings, trails, and grounds at Valley View Park, Altoona, PA, on a seasonal basis so that each is in a neat, attractive, and safe condition for the public's use.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will hold a high school diploma or GED; be at least 18 years old; have a minimum of one years hands-on experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, construction work, maintenance, or other directly related field; knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques; knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair of hard and soft surfaces; valid Pennsylvania driver's license and motor vehicle record free of infractions that would prevent hire; keen attention to detail; and diligence, initiative, and pride in work done well. Applicants will need clearances to comply with Child Protective Services law by date of hire.
Benefits
Starting wage for this seasonal, nonexempt position is $13.40/hour x 37.5-hour workweek. The season will not exceed 880 hours worked. Benefits package does not apply to this title. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
