Now Hiring - General Laborers - Data Center Site Setup (Night Shift)

Location: Altoona, Iowa

Job Type: Full-time, Night Shift

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-10 Hour Shifts

Starting Wage: $20 per hour, Weekly Pay

Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking General Laborers to join our team at a data center construction site for a major project with Facebook . This is a night shift position where you will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, material handling, and general cleanup tasks to ensure the work site is safe and ready for construction activities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of performing wide variety of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation: Assist with preparing the construction site for the setup of the data center, including clearing debris, marking designated areas, and helping with the layout of materials.

  • Material Handling: Consistently lift and move construction materials, tools, and equipment across the site. This will include heavy lifting and manual labor.

  • Demolition and Cleanup: Help with the removal of any debris, old structures, or other materials from the site, ensuring the area is free of obstructions and safe for other workers.

  • Construction Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers) and site supervisors with various tasks, including moving and setting up equipment, holding materials, or performing basic labor duties.

  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with supervisors and other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).

  • Outdoor Comfort: Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).

  • Previous Experience: While prior construction experience is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for motivated individuals who are willing to learn.

  • Reliable and Punctual: Must be dependable and show up on time for each shift.

  • Safety Awareness: A commitment to safety and following all site guidelines.

Compensation:

  • Wage: $20.00 per hour, paid weekly.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-10 hour shifts (overtime opportunities may be available).

  • Job Environment: Construction site, where the work can sometimes be dirty and physically demanding.
