The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Employee Health is responsible for leading the employee health function for AdventHealth. The director sets the direction, vision, planning, and implementing policies and procedures to provide the highest level of employee health services, creating a best in class practice to Keep our team members Safe. The director leads all strategies for employee health, establishing best practices across the AdventHealth system to deliver high quality, standardized services that meet the organization needs in every market. The director aligns all employee health and safety policies and practices with regulatory requirements in all markets. The Director leads all efforts and campaigns relating to vaccinations. The Director develops and leads efforts related to workforce safety, injury prevention, and collaborates with Safety and Risk Management on workplace violence prevention. The Director facilitates communication between all departments, infection prevention, workers compensation, work loss and prevention, human resources and return to work processes.

Working in close partnership with the Corporate Employee Health Medical Director, establish, implement and reinforce best practices across the organization, delivering high quality, standardized services that meet the objectives of AdventHealth in each market
Develops, implements and monitors policies and procedures to provide high quality employee health services that meet all internal and external requirements
Develops and leads strategy and technology for vaccinations, flu campaigns and other mass employee health efforts
Develops and monitors strategy for employee disease exposures including COVID-19 and other communicable disease management, employee instructions, testing and follow-up care of team members including leader communication and all related activities
In collaboration with workers compensation and loss prevention, develops and leads strategy for injury prevention and safety. Develops new programming and educational offerings to prevent injury, increase safety and improve health
Mentor and collaborate with regional employee health leaders to assure training, quality, resources and compliance are meeting organization goals
Consults with markets on employee health expenses, budget planning and implementation of new services including materials and outsourced services
Leads systemwide employee health team through influence and effective communication. Sets the strategy for all employee health and safety functions
Identify opportunities for improved quality and sponsor those efforts at the system level
Monitors quality and addresses areas of variance between regions and clinics, providing consultation and mentorship for improvement, and identifying best practices to propagate throughout the system
Reports on quality and effectiveness through regional governance committees
Assure the organization is meeting the requirements of accreditation, documentation, risk management and privacy in regard to employee health and safety. Collaborates closely with AdventHealth Clinical, medical director, legal, regulatory, workers compensation and loss prevention
Leads Employee Health Analyst, providing direction in all changes to Empoyee Health EMR system and directing all other analyst responsibilities
Develops and monitors department budget for employee health activities including team resources and all related expenses
Prepares the agenda and minutes for the Employee Health Governance Committee. Contributes positively to the discussions in Governance Committee
Provides direct leadership to the Employee Health Analyst
Provides indirect leadership to all Employee Health teams system-wide
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
5 years of experience working in occupational health care role, health care clinic in which management ability has been demonstrated.
3 years of experience in leading teams
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Nursing
8 years of experience in leading teams
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current RN licensure with the Florida State Board of Nursing
OSHA, COHN or COHN-S certification
