Job Overview:

Ensure the development of coating works adheres to the specifications required by the client as well as the administration of personnel, material resources, and maintain the department's production standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support in the preparation, planning and coordination of the work plan to assign responsibilities for the activities to be carried out

  • Analyze and interpret the following contractual documents: Drawings, Technical specifications, Procedures, Work instructions

  • Preparation of requisitions for personnel, consumables, equipment and tools

  • Ensure that all employees have received the HSES training necessary to perform their role; as well as, stop unsafe actions according to established standards and procedures

  • Conduct constructability reviews and coordination of required engineering priorities

  • Technical clarifications of requirements and coordination with procurement on the status of purchase and arrival of materials, equipment and project tools to ensure having them on time, for the execution of projects

  • Supervise the development of projects, guaranteeing that specifications are met, which support the optimal functioning of the equipment to meet production plans with timeliness and quality

  • Management and execution of work packages for assignment of field work according to the program

  • Commitment to the implementation of safety plans in the development of work

  • Field supervision of the execution and development of the structural work

  • Continuous monitoring of training and application of procedures in filling out control reports, until the quality completion of the work and its physical and documentary delivery to the client for collection

  • Delivery of work progress, through physical review in the field according to the established programs and their comparison, participating in the implementation of corrective actions

  • Maintain daily meetings with the personnel in charge to review, distribute and monitor work programs, provide solutions to requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Attendance and participation in the weekly safety meeting

  • Participate in weekly meetings with project management, in order to review performance results and plan necessary actions

  • Review and delivery of partial completions of work for delivery to estimates and collection.

  • Review of progress and productivity through personal interviews with the different project managers to see project needs

  • Assistance and attention to pending issues in interdisciplinary coordination meetings such as the "4 weeks forward" program review to plan the work, proposing strategies and solutions to deviations found against the plan

  • Attend and take actions defined by meetings and security tours, to incidents that occur in the area

  • Comply with and enforce McDermott's policies, standards, procedures, and instructions, in force in: the Conflict of Interest Policy, the Employee Information Agreements, the Internal Labor Regulations, the Safety, Health and Environment Regulations, and others that defines the company

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position

  • Secondary, Industrial Engineering or Other related Career

  • Knowledge of offshore platform construction procedures

  • Knowledge of personnel administration

  • Leadership

  • Communication skills

  • Focus on customer and business

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
