In this role, The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Identity Lifecycle Management (ILM) Architect reports to the Domain Architect Lead for IAM Architecture in a hands-on role focused on the security architecture in the identity lifecycle management and provisioning space . The architect works directly with Lead Development, Engineering and Operational resources through collaboration and mentoring to shape the IAM capabilities for the firm.

Every day, you will promote architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned with business strategy. Each day, you will start with a scrum and identify priorities within the current sprint or discuss a new project. Then you'll create designs to guide the developers while they code what you design. As the team lead, you'll communicate and collaborate with your team and cross-functionally, acting as the technical reference.

To thrive in this role, you have 7+ years of technical lead / architectural skills and responsibilities, along with in-depth knowledge of SailPoint’s IdentityIQ or IdentityNOW . This role requires you to have clear, compelling, and influential communication skills to succeed. You will constantly collaborate with peer architects on other teams. You must be adept at teaching, leading, and influencing. As part of our team, you will influence product success and help shape our industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in India one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later and tomorrow handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments.

  • Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.

  • You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent

  • Deep architectural understanding of the workforce IAM space and understanding of the alignments between the various verticals IGA, PAM, Authentication, Directory, Authorization

  • Ability to interview stakeholders, clarify the problem statement, elicit requirements, and transform those requirements into designs to be consumed by engineering teams

  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, equally comfortable presenting ideas / concepts to senior leadership, implementation teams, and business stakeholders in terms appropriate to the audience

  • Skilled at creating complex technical architecture diagrams in a clear and organized format appropriate for various audiences from technical to senior leadership

  • Skilled at taking complex topics and making them simple

  • Transparent judgment and stands behind their decisions

  • Flexible and collaborative with peers

  • Minimum 7 years of shown technical lead / architectural skills and responsibilities preferred

  • IAM protocols such as SCIM, OAUTH, SAML, OIDC

  • In depth knowledge of SailPoint’s IdentityIQ or IdentityNOW products

  • Experience crafting lifecycle event flows such as Joiner / Mover / Leaver

  • Understanding of and experience implementing SailPoint. Understanding of SailPoint Identity IQ/IDN deployment and architecture, experience integrating applications and writing provisioning/aggregation rules, writing sophisticated business processes, API extensions and plugins

  • Experience of integrating sophisticated platforms with Identity IQ/IDN

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure as a deployment platform for SailPoint IDN

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA. SailPoint certifications are a plus
