ADP Sr. Director, Strategic Workforce Planning in Alpharetta, Georgia

ADP is hiring a Sr. Director - Workforce Planning within our National Accounts Services organization .

In this role as a Strategic Workforce Planning Leader , you will:

  • develop and advise on the formulation of the staffing levels to support NAS clients.

  • lead a team that analyzes, monitors, and evaluates current and future staffing levels of a dynamic and agile workforce of professional services consultants.

  • optimize the workforce for greater efficiencies and value, make recommendations to Sr. Leadership on talent strategies, workload and workforce needs.

  • work with cross functional partners (finance) to maintain budget accuracy and credible forecasting capabilities.

  • leverage the available analytics, scheduling database, client feedback, and manager/associate input to create a superior experience

  • take ownership of the data integrity across the Implementation CRM to support the accuracy of current and future client project staffing needs

  • lead and motivate a high performing team that supports and reinforces associate development, recognition, and retention.

The success of this National Accounts Services Sr. Leader is measured by the quality of strategic planning, staffing optimization, productivity, and associate efficiency for the assigned client base. Reports directly to the VP of Implementation and coordinates efforts across platforms.

What you’ll do: Responsibilities

  • Has primary accountability for the performance and results for a significant area of a business unit or function (department within the business unit).

  • Provides leadership and direction through directors and managers (or professional equivalents).

  • Executes functional business plans and will contribute to the development of Business Unit Talent strategy.

  • Decisions are guided by Business Unit strategy and priorities.

  • Consistently operates with ambiguity.

What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Defines and implements the overall strategy for staffing and supporting the Workforce Planning goals.

  • Defines and implements strategies to improve availability of associates and resolution of staffing needs with a focus on creating an agile workforce

  • Collaborate with NAS Implementation Executive Team to create, define and communicate the workforce planning strategy

  • Provide support and guidance to workforce team as they handle the daily staffing/assignment needs of the organization

  • Work hand-in-hand with Finance to reconcile current staffing needs against budget, and forecast future staffing needs for planning purposes

  • Ensure that accuracy of data within the Implementation CRM as it relates to client project details and employee information

  • Leverage 3 rd party software to create a robust forecast of staffing needs by role to support the strategic workforce decisions and budgets projected

  • Creates a high-performance team environment that supports and reinforces associate development and retention.

  • Drives talent development, associate engagement, and performance management throughout organization in alignment to ADP's Pay for Performance Philosophy.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • 12 years of directly related experience in management or an implementation environment.

  • Exhibits Leadership Excellence, including identifying successful behaviors, ensuring the right talent in the right roles and a strong eye for building successful teams and leaders.

  • Recognized as an individual with outstanding leadership skills, passion, professionalism, communication, and strategic business thinking

  • Develop and maintain high engagement with not only your direct leadership team but indirect reports as well

  • Creative thinker with strong degree of adaptability and flexibility and one who thrives in an environment of continuous change and growth

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to flex based on audience and other requirements.

  • Ability to leverage data to make strategic business decisions.

A college degree is preferred but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above, OR

  • Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.

  • Knowledge of HCM (Human Capital Management) preferred, but not required.
