Job Description

Our client is looking for a self-motivated, highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator (SSA) to join their team to help create and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux in their environment. This person will be joining a team of 6 other DBAs and System Admins to build and operate all internal systems in their networking data centres supporting 25 international customers. The SSA is responsible for tasks such as setting up servers, securing data, retrieving data, automation like the system set up, creating users on 20+ systems, replication, time optimization, testing, system patching, upgrading, etc. This will be a 100% remote opportunity; the individual will need to will sit in Austria.

Skills and Requirements

5+ year experience with the following

 Red Hat Linux

 Proficient in at least 1 scripting language, any language.

o SG uses Python and Shell

 Running secure file transfer server in a change route environment

 ESX or Vmware

 Basic understanding of networking

 Layering of system (ex. Device mapping)

Soft skill must haves:

 Fluency in English is required

 Open and customer-oriented mindset, communication skills

 Teamwork, readiness and reliability

o Willingness to travel to office occasionally if required o Fluent in German

o Satellite server

o Understanding of different storage protocols

o Debian or Ubuntu null
