Actalent R&D Technician in Alpharetta, Georgia
Job Title: R&D TechnicianJob Description
This position will work closely with the lab team to ensure testing of new products is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Perform product testing as described in the test methods.
Comply with GLP, GDP, and GMP after training.
Participate as a team member in testing.
Work closely with lab engineers, other technicians, and lab coordinator with some supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
0-3 years of experience performing testing and/or inspection in a laboratory setting or manufacturing environment.
Minimum of High School Diploma, with some college-level work desirable.
Experience using laboratory tools/instrumentation including calipers, micrometers, vision systems, tensile testers, etc.
Previous experience with data entry in a laboratory information management system (LIMS) is a plus.
Average verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to ask questions when uncertain.
Ability to work independently once trained.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Gain experience with a class III medical device.
Opportunity for overtime hours and pay at 0.5 rate.
Experience supporting a 501(k) submission to the FDA.
Opportunity to gain valuable experience within the medical device field.
Work Environment
The role will be based in a clean, well-lit, and new laboratory. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 11 PM, with overtime available on Saturdays. The technician will perform repetitive work at a bench top and document results into a database. The laboratory allows for sitting as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
