Title: Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Position Summary

The Engineering Team Lead will work in a cross-functional environment with development, production, repair depot, test engineering, and supplier quality engineering. The Eng Team Lead will work primarily in the areas of process development and documentation, continuous improvement of plant efficiency and quality system tracking and reporting in the hand assembly and configuration of computers and peripherals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Direct managerial responsibility for 6+ Plant Engineering team members

• Mentor and develop Plant Engineering team members

• Review of engineering changes for suitability and implementation into plant operations

• Lead Plant Engineering Team in meeting all plant KPIs and ongoing responsibilities such as:

• New process development and documentation

• Reporting of Cost and Quality operational metrics including key drivers

• Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance

• IT System Issue Mitigation and Improvement

• Facilities layout for warehouse, production floor

• Design evaluation of new and existing products.

• Production equipment review and selection.

• Design and evaluation of pack materials.

• Customer project design and implementation.

• Other job related duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

• 1 to 3 years in a hand assembly environment as a manufacturing/production engineer.

• Experience in electronic assembly and a leadership position a plus

• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work full-time onsite at our service plant in Alpharetta, GA

Preferred Requirements

• Lean production background preferred

• Experience with SQL preferred

• Experience with C# and PHP languages a plus

• Highly self-motivated leading toward driving corrective actions

• Strong logical thinking, problem analysis and solving skills
