A large electronic company in Alpharetta, GA is looking to hire Embedded Linux engineers to support their team in building firmare and hardware for linux based communication products.

Skills and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Porting Buildroot Projects: Update and port existing buildroot targets/projects to the latest buildroot release.

System Development: Utilize Buildroot to create operating systems, utilities, and applications for embedded Linux systems.

Toolchain Management: Work with tools like GIT, GERRIT, JENKINS in the Buildroot toolchain and development paradigm.

Linux Kernel Expertise: Understand the booting and initialization processes of a Linux Kernel in an initram-based system.

Package Management: Manage packages including addition, configuration specification, fetching expansion patching, and building processes.

Busybox and Device Trees: Discuss the role of Busybox in configuring the Linux Kernel and understand the structure and role of device trees.

Skills Required:

Proficiency with embedded Linux systems including drivers, kernel modules, communication control, and monitoring system software.

Familiarity with the GNU Debugger using remote symbol files.

Experience working in a Linux command-line development environment.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with embedded Linux configuration and command-line system utilities.

Knowledgeable in the Buildroot toolchain and development paradigm.

Experience with writing build scripts is essential. - Knowledge of Open-source protocol like CoAP / MQTT / Wireless Security

• Experience in software development for Metering protocols (DLMS/COSEM/ANSI)

• Any scripting language such as Perl, Bash, Python or TCL

• Experience in Linux internals / system programming null
