ADP Chief Enterprise Architect in Alpharetta, Georgia

Role Overview:

As the Chief Architect for ADP’s Shared Products Portfolio, you will be responsible for setting the architectural vision and strategy for a broad suite of products, including our ADP Mobile Apps, Authentication and Identity Management systems, Shared Services, and our Autopay Payroll engine. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and other key stakeholders to ensure that our products are designed and built to be scalable, secure, and user-friendly across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do:

Define Architectural Vision and Strategy:

  • Develop and communicate a clear architectural vision and strategy for the Shared Products portfolio.

  • Ensure alignment with ADP’s overall business objectives and technology goals.

Lead Architectural Governance:

  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to ensure compliance with standards.

Oversee Product Architecture:

  • Lead the design and architecture of the Mobile App, Authentication and Identity Management systems, Shared Services, and Payroll engine.

  • Ensure that all products are designed to be scalable, reliable, and secure.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.

  • Foster collaboration and ensure seamless integration across products.

Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the Shared Products portfolio.

Ensure Operational Excellence:

  • Implement robust processes for monitoring, managing, and optimizing the performance of products.

  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all products.

Mentor and Lead Technical Teams:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects and engineers.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Champion Technical Debt Reduction:

  • Identify and prioritize areas of technical debt within the portfolio.

  • Develop and execute plans to address technical debt and improve system health.

Promote a Culture of Security:

  • Ensure that security is a key consideration in all architectural decisions.

  • Implement best practices for authentication, identity management, and data protection.

Engage with Senior Leadership:

  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership to report on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Provide technical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Proven Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a senior architectural role, preferably as a Chief Architect or equivalent.

  • Strong background in designing and architecting complex, scalable systems.

Technical Expertise:

  • Understanding of mobile app development, authentication and identity management, shared services architecture, and system modernization.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern architectural patterns.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience leading technical teams.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Strategic Vision:

  • Ability to develop and communicate a clear architectural vision and strategy.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
