This is an entry level position that requires an individual to be detail-oriented to support internal tools, reporting and processes. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting internal tools issues, gathering business requirements, and contributing to the development of new enhancements. This role involves significant collaboration with individuals across all levels of the organization, including Insurance product management, various verticals, finance, and technology teams, to transform data into actionable and compelling visualizations.
This role will be hybrid from our Alpharetta, GA offices.
Responsibilities
Investigating and resolving internal tools issues, login issues, and network issues and custom implementation issues.
Providing timely support to users facing technical difficulties with the internal tools.
Managing requests for internal tools, ensuring proper authorization and permissions are granted based on user roles.
Collaborating with users to gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories or functional specifications for the technical team for supported internal tools.
Developing basic systems specifications, process flow, and conversion strategies.
Creating technical and functional user guides as well as documentation for supported internal tools.
Managing the team's JIRA support queue by triaging incoming tickets promptly.
Assigning tickets to appropriate team members based on expertise or workload capacity.
Providing regular updates on ticket status during daily standup meetings with the team manager
Developing and maintaining PBI (Power BI) reports that provide valuable insights into key performance indicators relevant to our organization
Design Power BI reports, dashboards, infographics, and other visualizations for internal monitoring and tracking in original and innovative ways.
Under guidance from the lead, collaborate with teams to transform data for use in visualizations, including the architecture, scoping, proposing and management of the process infrastructure and business project management office datasets to support the Insurance Business.
Manage the ongoing life cycle responsibilities for existing reports, dashboards, and alerts.
Evaluate new functionality that should be applied to existing reports, dashboards, and alerts
Monitor the release process and placement of new reports, dashboards, alerts, and other visualizations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within the business.
Follow prescribed standards related to metrics and visualizations.
Provide support and training to business users on our data and visualization tools.
Requirements
Education and experience: bachelor's degree with 6 months (required) to 2+ years (preferred) of experience in a related field.
Show understanding of software development methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages. Experience using a recognized development methodology, e.g., Agile, SCRUM, and KANBAN.
Experience supporting Salesforce, Planview PPM Pro, JIRA, DocuSign, Confluence and SharePoint a plus.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas)
Experience with designing reports on visualization & BI platforms (Power BI) required.
Strong knowledge of business intelligence concepts
Ability to readily transition between business customer and technical developer perspectives with ease.
Strong analytical aptitude and a basic understanding of statistical methods.
Demonstrated expertise with problem analysis and solving. Able to identify relationships in data to assist in providing insights
Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work and to meet deadlines in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Self-starter with strong self-management skills and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
