Job Description

Candidate will be a joining a brand a new scrum team as the Senior Devops Engineer. They will be deploying a brand new application which is being built in java onto OCP/Azure. They will be * responsible for the setup and maintenance of source code management tools, repositories, workflows and pipelines and automation of CI/CD processes with the applicable DevOps toolset. They will write deployment, configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and other scripts as needed in addition to the existing DevOps tools that are used. They will do the setup of application performance monitoring and alerting dashboards with the respective toolset, as well as automated health check of applications and services. They also will do the setup of security and other scans and integrate QA test suites for the deployed applications as a part of the CI/CD process. They will also need to implement solutions for disaster recovery, failover and resiliency of the applications and underlying infrastructure. The will work off of a jira board and need to understand their place on a scrum team.

Skills and Requirements

-7-10 years of experience in a Devops engineer role

-Must have an Azure Developer certification

-Scripting experience with either shell, bash, python or golang

-Experience with release management or source code management using either gitlab, harness

-Hands on, in depth experience with OCP Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes (understands clusters,) terraform and docker containers

-Hands on experience with Linux system administration

-Experience with splunk or dynatrace

-Bachelors Degree null
