Siemens Energy Automation Engineer - Marine Field Service in Alpharetta, Georgia

Electrification Automation andDigitalization is looking for a Field Service Engineer with direct experiencein servicing integrated industrial solutions with Automation Systemstechnologies for the Marine, and Oil & Gas industries.

The selected engineer will travel to acustomer's site and troubleshoot, test, maintain, and/or commission solutionsusing Siemens Energy PLC, HMI/SCADA, control systems and industry technologyportfolio to satisfy industrial customer requirements or solve problems. Theengineer also coordinates with local engineering teams to recommend and deliverhigh quality technical solutions.

The successful engineer will have astrong educational and industrial background and extensive hands-on experience.A passion for the field and drive to learn and tackle new challenges is anabsolute must! Selected engineer will developcustomer relationships, be accurate and detailed while working in a fast- pacedenvironment with multiple people, calls and projects demanding attention andtime. The willingness to travel extensively in the US and be able to work the hours neededon industrial job sites to complete the tasks at hand is also a must!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Commissioncustomized automation solutions, maintain, and fault find marineautomation/control systems.

  • Learn the latestindustrial solutions and developments within Siemens Energy, andcollaborate with designers to test, commission, solve and / or updateintegrated system drawings.

  • Proficiency willbe needed in planning workload and specific tasks, and your drive towardtimely completions.

  • Provide directtechnical support to customers from requests in case management system.

  • Manage Remoteconnection system to customer sites.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degreein Electrical Engineering or equivalent field is preferred with 5+ yearsof experience in Marine or a related industry, which is required.

  • Hands onPLC/SCADA experience with a background in Automation / ControlSystem Solution Design or Service/Commissioning is required.

  • Familiarity withNorth American and international codes and standards, OSHA, and safety andlock-out / tag-out procedures is required.

  • Motivated andpassionate about the role, with strong organization and communicationskills.

  • Must be willingto travel (mostly domestic with some international travel for training) to otherSiemens Energy and customer facilities (up to 80%).

  • Applicants mustbe legally authorized for employment in the United States without need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energyemployees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internaltransfers.

  • Additionalpreferred skills:

  • Marine, Drillingor Offshore production working experience.

  • VariableFrequency Drive Systems experience

  • SiemensAutomation hands on experience (S7, TIA, PCS7)
