What you will do:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in machine design, particularly in package handling conveyance systems. This role involves using CAD and MS Office software to create manufacturing drawings, models for concept development, customer approval drawings, instructional documentation, product testing and inspection documentation, and more.

What you have to offer:

• CAD and MS Office Software: Create manufacturing drawings, develop models for concept development per customer requirements, produce customer approval drawings, generate instructional documentation, Prepare product testing and inspection documentation.
• *Business Management Software: *Create Bill of Materials for work distribution to manufacturing and purchasing, Create and review internal notifications, gather quote and job-related information, Search, review, and edit inventory data as needed.
• *Time Management: *Manage multiple projects simultaneously, Work with team leaders to assign appropriate priority.
• *Design and Engineering: *Design, engineer, and prototype new products and systems to solve customer needs, participate in the development of production methods and fixtures as needed, Work within a budget to deliver safe and efficient products on time, Review, produce, and maintain design documentation, Review and implement customer specifications in product designs, Maintain and store design files and revision data, provide explanations of design changes as needed
• *Project Management: *Work closely with Project Managers to develop task lists, anticipate tasks required to complete projects, their durations, and identify any critical task order, identify concerns and mitigation plans for potential delays.
• *Quality Control: *Participate in quality control inspections and system testing.

What we are looking for:

• +5 years of machine design experience, preferably in package handling conveyance.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
• Strong engineering ethics and fundamentals (math, physics, engineering).
• Experience with Design for Manufacture practices.
• Understanding of basic budgeting and marketing impacts on project success.
• Proactive, self-motivated, organized, creative, and possess superior communication and problem-solving skills.
• Team player comfortable working on multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
• Passion for solving complex challenges with innovative solutions.
• Willingness to participate in customer service calls as needed, including outside of normal working hours.
• Willingness to travel on occasion.
• Demonstrated success in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with package handling conveyance systems.
• Familiarity with business management software.
