Transmission Technician

Transmission Central is looking for a full-time transmission technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity to build your skills and increase your knowledge in Transmission, Transfer Case, and Deifferential services. Welding, and Fabrication experience is a Plus!

Job details:

• Perform Transmission and Transfer case tuneups, rebuilds, replacements with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnostic testing and Differential Repair
• Remove and disassembles transmission unit and performs repair.
• Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Installs repaired transmission, replaces fluids and makes appropriate adjustments.
• Perform fluid refills and filter changes.
• Ensure customers' cars are kept clean.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Properly Maintain shop-owned tools and return them to the proper place and in the same condition as received.

Expectations:

• Minimum of 6-months experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic / Transmission Builder
• Welding, and Fabrication experience a Plus!
• Trainee Permit will be required for new hires not already certified (company expense).
• Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must have your own hand tools or be willing to purchase them (employee expense).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks and instructions.

Salary:

• $15 per hour (Pay may vary depending on experience and certifications)
• Flat rate pay available after two-weeks
