We are looking for an Intern in Quality Assurance to join our Process Plants team in Switzerland.
In this role you will assist in ensuring that specified quality assurance requirements as defined by ISO 9001 standards are met across different departments. This includes tasks related to document management, process updates, procedure reviews, internal audit implementation, and tracking of non-conformities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Support in the application and monitoring of quality assurance practices to meet ISO 9001 requirements.
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement strategies, utilizing tools such as PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), Ishikawa diagrams, and the 5 Why’s method for root cause analysis.
Work with various departments to ensure their activities align with quality standards.
Management of Documentation:
Maintain and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring all processes and procedures are updated and in compliance with ISO 9001 and group policy.
Assist in reviewing and revising procedures, work instructions, and policies to reflect process changes and quality improvements.
Non-Conformity Follow-Up (NCR):
Track and manage non-conformity reports (NCRs) to ensure timely resolution, implement and support different divisions for resolution.
Support teams in identifying the root causes of non-conformities and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Document and report on the effectiveness of measures taken to prevent recurrence.
Internal Audit Implementation and Follow-Up:
Assist in planning, conducting, and following up on internal audits in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
Prepare audit schedules, checklists, and reports to ensure thorough assessments of processes and systems.
Work with departments to address findings and implement corrective actions.
KPI Implementation and Follow-Up:
Support the establishment and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve quality performance.
Collect and analyze data related to KPIs and prepare regular performance reports.
Collaborate with teams to set realistic goals and ensure continuous improvement in KPI metrics.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Internal auditor as an advantage.
Good knowledge of quality assurance measures and ISO 9001 standards.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including: 5 Why’s for root cause analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, PDCA.Experience or familiarity with Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
Fluent English. Fluency in German is a strong plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-departmental teamwork.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
