S&T Product Development Chemist, Experienced - JR2421442
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Product Development Chemist, Experienced you will develop products, formulizations, and technologies in the area of Substrate Protection technologies across multiple business segments at PPG's Coatings Innovation Center located in (Allison Park) Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities: * Execute projects in the Substrate Protection segment by conducting hands-on experimental work. * Conduct laboratory activities supporting coating formulation, application, testing formulation optimization, product processing, and testing of new technologies. * Analyze and interpret experimental results, and contribute to and design your own experiments. * Communicate results with the project team through written and verbal summaries. * Validate and distribute other technical information (in charts, tables, and reports) as appropriate to technical, management, and other colleagues. * Will work safely in the lab at all times, with strict adherence to all safety procedures. * You will report to the Plant Management
Qualifications: * BA/BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Coatings Science, Polymer Science or related * 1+ years of related lab experience * Previous lab experience including calibration, cleaning, testing. * Strong analysis experience and ability to use programs such as Excel (can perform complex functions) and other databases to that end.
