Join our team at Lehigh County Maintenance Organization as a detail-oriented Stock Clerk 2. Your role will involve ensuring efficient operations for receiving, storing, and distributing various store items. Utilize your experience in clerical work, warehousing, or stockroom management with an agency that is dedicated to innovating the transportation system in Lehigh County.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your responsibilities will include managing and updating the vendor list, preparing order requisitions, and communicating with vendors to confirm, expedite, or track orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for determining minimum inventory levels and reorder points for items, as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory receipts and issues, both electronically and manually, in collaboration with the Roadway Programs Coordinator and Purchasing Agent.

You will also be responsible for conducting regular physical inventories and reconciling any discrepancies between the computerized inventory and the actual quantity on hand. As part of your role, you will be required to inspect received materials to ensure compliance with specifications, proper labeling, and the availability of material safety data sheets when necessary. Furthermore, you will provide assistance in organizing and disposing of surplus inventory as needed, as well as labeling and handling hazardous materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Dual shifts are required for winter operations. This position may require travel and overtime as needed. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must have 1 year or more of experience receiving and inspecting the quality and quantity of incoming deliveries. You must have three months or more of experience operating devices such as hand trucks, power jacks and stackers to move heavy items. You must have at least one year of experience maintaining inventory levels with physical stock inventory while keeping a clean, safe, and secure storage facility. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
