Position Summary:

- Performs OJL work assigned by mentor
- Progress in apprentice program by attending and completing assigned course training
- Documents activities accordingly as required by department apprenticeship program
To complete assigned rotations by working on differing shifts as necessary
- Required to apply entry level working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs entry level shop floor competencies.
- Works under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Uses established procedures to accomplish assigned task.
- May require some limited judgement in resolving problems.
- Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
