Robert Half Fixed Asset Analyst in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Fixed Asset Analyst in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The primary function of this role is to oversee and manage capital projects and fixed assets within the industry. This includes accurate and timely reporting, maintaining software system knowledge, and assisting with annual audits and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
• Oversee administrative review and approval process for all capital projects, involving processing requests, increases, and decreases.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of capital orders and expenditures, including the preparation of monthly statements.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the capital management software system and provide assistance for employee training.
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset software system used to track all owned assets.
• Handle the interface between the fixed asset software and the general ledger for monthly all capital-related journal entries including accumulated depreciation, depreciation expense, and accrivals.
• Assist in monitoring capital expenditures and provide summaries for management review, including comparison to budget.
• Review activity in the "Construction in Progress" general ledger account, including reconciliations and timely capitalization of projects.
• Contribute to the appropriate classification, life, and method of depreciation for all capital expenditures for financial accounting purposes.
• Assist with the preparation of fixed asset roll forward schedules.
• Contribute to the annual audit, Medicare cost, and government/regulatory reporting process. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Candidates must have experience with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Data Mining Techniques is a must.
• A solid understanding of Accounting Functions is essential.
• Experience with Accrual Accounting is needed.
• Ability to conduct Auditing is required.
• Knowledge of Budget Processes is essential.
• Candidates must have experience in Capital Management.
