Valley Extrusions Entry-level Machinist in ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania
Valley Extrusions is seeking an entry-level machinist for our Plastic Extrusion Machine Department. This position will assist the Senior Machinist in the repair and maintenance of tooling for custom plastic extrusions. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of Machining Theory, the ability to read part prints, use calipers, and other measuring devices. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in Machining.
Essential Job Duties:
- Set-up and operate CNC Vertical Machining center. Run milling machines, lathes surface grinders, band saws (horizontal and vertical) and a drill press.
- The ability to learn EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) set-up and operation.
- Repair and modify tooling.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a CNC/Manual Machinist or equivalent education.
