Job Description:

Position Overview: As the Design Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design strategy and execution for our FPGA product lines. You will lead a team of highly skilled engineers and designers, driving innovation and ensuring the successful development of high-performance, scalable, and reliable FPGA solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of FPGA architecture, design methodologies, and the ability to translate customer requirements into cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute the design strategy for the FPGA product portfolio, aligning with the company's overall business objectives. Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of design engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Drive continuous improvement in design processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance productivity and product quality.

Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end design and development process for FPGA products, from concept through to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware, and software engineering, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of FPGA solutions. Ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, power efficiency, and reliability.

Technical Expertise: Direct Design Teams across different company sites for design, development and release to production of FPGA devices Provide technical leadership in FPGA architecture, logic design, verification, and implementation. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring that the company remains a leader in FPGA innovation. Address complex design challenges and provide guidance on critical technical decisions.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and design requirements. Communicate design strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior management an other key stakeholders. Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and customer meetings as a thought leader in FPGA design.

Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Manage risks and resolve issues that could impact project success, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in FPGA design and development, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex FPGA products to market.

Skills: Hands-on experience and Deep knowledge of FPGA architecture, design, and verification methodologies. Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL or Verilog. Strong understanding of device physics, digital design, signal processing, physical design and system-level integration. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects across different geographical sites simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
