JOB OVERVIEW
Materials Manager is to lead, plan, direct and monitor the operations of the material management function. You will be responsible for all or most of the following: operational purchasing, ordering, order confirmation, time and price differences, delivery control, materials planning, forecasting and other operative supplier collaboration activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for its current and future operations. Needs to collaborate with procurement, supplier quality management, and KTI.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Hiring and development of all Material Specialists
Leading Material Handlers with weekly 1-1 meetings
Elevator Supply Unit (ESU) (5 employees); offshore work through KBS team (4+ head counts); Support FULL MOD business line as NEB and MP
Supplier PO follow-up and delay risk analysis
Support and management of Inventory for SUA – North and South DCs
Develop, implement, and oversee the inventory control system (ERP) tracking the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, production requirements, ordering procedures and process.
Collaboration and communication on escalations including supplier delays, cross function matrix organization, and front line.
Problem Solving to avoid any LDs. • Collaborate with Spares and Warranties to analyze and forecast materials to Suppliers for ESU internal Factories and Supply Base. ESU issuance of PO to Suppliers, Order confirmations, delivery controls and related reporting. Support Supply Chain, ERP transformation and CRs for Elevator
Recommending after analysis of expedites as necessary from overseas supply base
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
University degree, preferably in business or logistics studies; Prior working experience of min 5 years in a relevant field; Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, and material management.
Wide IT knowledge; Supply chain management knowledge; Contract Management knowledge; Fluent in EnglishUniversity degree, preferably in business or logistics studies. 7+ years is preferred. Years of experience Should encompass previous Material Management and Leadership Experience.
Supplier Web, Lens, EDI, Qliksense; development of employees; conducting one-on-one meetings with the team; Support and collaboration with multiple interlining departments (Full MOD business line as NEB and MP, Operations, Procurement, Front Line, Supply Chain),
business transformation management, Support and management of inventory, Develop, implement, oversee inventory control system (ERP), interpret inventory request, schedules and coordination. and KPI reporting. Analysis of supply base in US, Mexico and overseas, production planning and scheduling. Being strategically focused on goals and execution and having a proactive approach.
