Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for taking on larger, more complex projects along with other various projects and possibly some R&D. They will design custom material handling machines, meet with customers and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements, and work cross-functionally with the sales team, Project Manager, and build team. This role requires performing FEA using Solidworks Simulation, performing engineering calculations such as load and stress analysis, and utilizing an ERP system to create, manage, and modify bills of materials. The engineer will handle 5-10 projects at different stages (approval, design, manufacturing, or testing) and will work both at their desk and on the shop floor, especially during building and testing phases.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical design experience in Solidworks (moving mechanical parts or machine design).

• Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.

• Proficiency in FEA for stress and load analysis (using Solidworks Simulation).

• ERP experience for creating and modifying BOM.

• Strong communication skills.

• Material handling and bulk handling experience.

• Engineering degree.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $43.27/hr.
