TIG Welder
Aerotek is currently looking to hire a TIG Welder for a client located in Alexandria, Virginia for a full-time job opening!
About:
This position supports the fabrication team in a metal fabrication shop.
The role involves creating custom pieces for metal kitchen designs, custom house railings, high-end elevator artworks, and more.
The primary task is TIG welding, which requires specific techniques and precision.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding and fabrication, including reading blueprints, material preparation, and machine setup (60%).
Assist with installation issues at client sites (20%).
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment (20%).
Essential Skills
Proficiency in TIG welding.
Experience welding various metals such as:
Stainless steel
Brass
Aluminum
Copper
Ability to weld materials as thin as 20 gauge and as thick as a quarter inch.
Familiarity with fabricating equipment like band saws, cold saws, brake presses, and water jets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, decorative metal, or elevator industries.
Coachability and willingness to learn new techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment, working mostly on individual projects.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots and a welding shield is required.
No certifications, DOT, licensing, or medical requirements are necessary.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
