ICF Technology Generalist (Hybrid Role) in Alexandria, Virginia

ICF is seeking a Technology Generalist to support a new science and engineering analytical program. Your work will contribute to enabling the U.S. to uphold its leadership in computing, communications, and information science and engineering. You will promote understanding of the principles and uses of advanced computing, communications, and information systems in service to society and support advanced cyberinfrastructure that enables and accelerates discovery and innovation across all science and engineering disciplines.
This role is based in Alexandria, VA with a hybrid work schedule (some days in office and remote days to work from home.)

What you will be doing:
Assisting program officers in reviewer identification and recruitment, scientific support on merit review panels, post‐award management, program portfolio analysis, and community outreach
Assist in Program Planning
Assist in Review Management
Assist in Program Management
Assist in Award Management
Assist in Post-Award Oversight
Based on where you best align, you will support one of the following:
Learning, Workforce, and Development programs and the Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Innovation cross‐cutting program
Support the breadth of a division’s programs
Support on Networking Technology and Systems and Computer Systems programs
Support a program making large scale, multi‐sector awards
Requirements:
Master’s degree in science, engineering, or mathematics (preference will be given to computer or information science/engineering fields) – background to understand the funded research and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience.
Equivalent experience and/or certifications are acceptable in place of Master’s degree.
Experience in managing research projects and teams.
Project management – proven business acumen in managing complex projects and budgets.
Proficient with using Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) and calendar and schedule management using Outlook; proficient with Zoom, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams, Box and Slack; and familiar with Microsoft SharePoint and/or other online collaboration tools.
Preferred:
Experience in providing support to government funding agencies as a Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor
Ability to script and automate (using Python, R or Visual Basic)
Technical background in Networking, Cybersecurity, IoT, Cyber physical security, embedded systems, or related, to understanding the funded research at a high level
Differentiate between an innovative proposal and one regurgitating requirements
Proofread reviews
Follow subject matter debate and discussion to an extent
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Community outreach

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$107,936.00 - $183,491.00
