This position serves as a Support Services Specialist. The incumbent manages major Agency infrastructure programs for Accountable Property Assets, Safety, Printing and Copier Fleet, Supplies, Mail Operations, Warehouse/Distribution, and the Distribution Center's Continuity of Operations (COOP). As a Support Services Specialist, you will: Directs the Asset Management Program of accountable property and ensures compliance with applicable NCUA property policies. Serves as the NCUA Safety Officer responsible for assisting the DPFM/Designated Agency Safety and Health Official (DASHO) with program development and implementation, hazard recognition, evaluation, control, and remediation; collection and analysis of all reported workplace accidents or incidents; air quality; ergonomics; fire and life safety; and recommending education and training resources for managers, supervisors, and employees. Conducts or participates in inspections of NCUA Central and Regional workplaces. Manages the NCUA Mail Operations and Distribution Center supply needs. Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for multiple OCFO/DPFM contracts, including government digital and hard copy printing, mail operations and screening, strategically sourced supplies, U.S. postage and express mail services, courier services, portable printers, equipment, and agency program awards. Drafts current guidance and standards regarding NCUA's Safety and Health Program (SHP), postal operations, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. All applicants applying for the CU-13 grade level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 grade level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: Managing an asset inventory system and experience managing at least one of the following areas: occupational safety and health compliance or mailroom and supply operations; Preparing written materials; and Providing policy or regulatory guidance to others. You must meet the qualifications for this position by the closing date of this announcement. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes the locality rate for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area. Please click here to review all salary ranges based on locality.
