ABC Imaging Payroll Specialist in Alexandria, Virginia
Position Summary:
ABC Imaging is seeking a Payroll Specialist who oversees all payroll functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations in a multi-state US environment. This role includes managing payroll processing, tax filings, and benefits while leading the team to focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee payroll domestically across twenty states to ensure timely processing, accuracy of wages, deductions, and compliance with local regulations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Oversee timekeeping for enterprise-wide workforce.
Identify and implement improvements to streamline payroll process.
Oversee NY Disability, manage Family Leave, garnishments, and other tax notices.
Administer benefits programs, including ACA filing and HSA deposits.
Maintain the employee portal, billing, and enrollment changes for benefits programs.
Optimize HRIS (Paychex) for payroll and ensure employee data accuracy.
Collaborate with international teams to process payroll and ensure compliance with local payroll practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or related work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of general employment and payroll law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
3-5 years of HR and multi-state payroll experience; international experience is a plus
Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Paychex.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
CPP or SHRM certification preferred but not required
