Patent and Trademark Office Management and Program Analyst in Alexandria, Virginia
Summary This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Commissioner for Patents; Office of Information Technology for Patents (OITP), Governance, Policy and Strategy (GPS) Division and responsible for providing OITP with strategy, management, and operational guidance and assistance to improve the efficiency, consistency, and quality of products and services in support of OITP employees and customers. Responsibilities The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy. Fully remote within 50 miles of the USPTO Alexandria, VA headquarters and the duty station is the authorized telework location. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at 0343 Qualification Standards Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-07 Specialized experience for this position includes: Assisting in analyzing documents, providing analytical support regarding program effectiveness, tracking and analyzing data, experience with automation tools to prepare reports and briefings. Additionally, experience conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs. Experience is required in the ability to communicate with a diverse audience of internal and external stakeholders as related to patent processes and procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Education is not substituted for specialized experience.
