Robert Half Help Desk Analyst III in Alexandria, Virginia

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst III in Alexandria, Virginia. The role demands an individual with skills in Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments. The Help Desk Analyst III will be expected to manage, maintain, and support the company's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment and provide hands-on support to users for hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee, maintain, and support the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment to ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues, prioritizing high availability.

• Implement system monitoring, optimization, and capacity planning for the VDI environment.

• Apply software updates, patches, and configuration changes to VDI systems.

• Participate in the design and deployment of new VDI solutions and upgrades.

• Provide hands-on support to users for hardware such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS) and applications.

• Assist users in resolving connectivity issues, including VPN and network access.

• Manage and support Active Directory accounts, permissions, and Group Policies related to end-user systems.

• Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk team to prioritize and efficiently resolve tickets. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledgeable in Active Directory

• Familiar with Computer Hardware

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Ability to handle Deployments

• Proficient in using Intune

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Demonstrated customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
