Koniag Information Security Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking an DevSecOps Lead with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to support KISS and our government customer in Alexandria, VA.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide System Administration support in NIPR and SIPR Azure and milCloud environments
Manage VM and Container lifecycle
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure overall DevSecOps ownership is shared across the team
Automate builds and deployments to the greatest extent possible
Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Perform complex analysis in the design and implementation of software applications for computer-bases systems
Maintain server component STIGs as required by DoD policy
Architect, design, develop, and implement Cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies
Implement Infrastructure as a Code in Azure DevOps pipelines leveraging ARM templates and PowerShell/Bash scripts
Create and maintain operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers and utility programs
Triage and mitigate potential security risks
Create automated approaches and scripts for system administration tasks where possible and appropriate
Manage PKI certificates
Evaluate environment for process improvements and make recommendations
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
3+ years as a DevSecOps or DevOps Engineers
3+ years professional experience with Azure DevOps
5+ years leadership experience
3+ years of System Administrator experience on Red Hat based operating systems (e.g. RHEL 6/7/8, CentOS, Amazon Linux, etc.)
In depth knowledge of public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or other major vendors of public cloud
Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or Amazon Web Services
Experience with ARM template management and PowerShell DSV scripting
Understand the delineation between SysOps engineering and DevOps engineering
Experience creating and maintaining operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers and utility programs
Experience with managing file systems: Partitions, Logical Volumes, Network File Systems, Permissions, Encryption, etc.
Experience with maintaining / patching operating systems and software packages
Experience with managing security: firewalls, SELinux, AntiVirus, IDS/IPS
Experience with Configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
Currently possesses or has the ability to obtain required certifications within 2 months of employment: CompTIA Security+ Ability to complete complex and difficult assignments and clearly articulate complex technical solutions
Experience with Java Application servers
Proficiency with JSON/RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Atlassian suite of tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Required to perform work in a SCIF
Previous work in a SIPR environment
Ability to obtain AWS or Azure certifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
