Staffmark Machine Shop Lead in Alexandria, Minnesota
Pro Staff is looking for a skilled Machine Shop Lead for immediate placement in Alexandria, MN. If you're seeking a fresh career challenge, this role could be your ideal match! Compensation: $20+/hour Shift: 2nd shift, 3 PM - 11 PM Responsibilities: Foster a culture of collaboration and support within the team. Prioritize and promote a safe work environment. Build strong relationships across departments to communicate changes and delays. Communicate project priorities and facilitate cross-training for team members. Provide coaching and monitor employee performance through regular reviews. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and continuous improvement techniques. Set up and run equipment efficiently to meet customer quality requirements. Maintain a clean work environment using the 5S system. Review manufacturing orders and perform inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. Package orders accurately and meet delivery schedules. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent (an Associate's degree in Machine Tool or a related field is preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), effective communication abilities, and knowledge of safety practices and inspection tools are essential. Experience with CNC and deburring equipment is a plus, as is the ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to specifications.
