SL Alabama, LLC Senior Production Quality Engineer in Alexander City, Alabama
Implement and maintain SL Alabamas Quality Management System (QMS) for automotive lamp and mirror systems, ensuring strict compliance with ISO and IATF standards in mass production

Oversee the quality control processes on the production line, ensuring all production activities comply with specifications and meet quality standards for automotive lamps and mirrors
;
Lead efforts to identify and resolve production line quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent defects and ensuring consistent product quality during mass production
;
Perform in-process inspections, audits, and testing throughout the production line to monitor adherence to quality standards and detect potential defects early in the process
;
Collaborate with
the
production teams to resolve quality issues promptly, minimizing production downtime, reducing waste, and maintaining efficient production schedules
;
Manage and monitor the effectiveness of production line processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance product quality and reduce defects
;
Oversee the testing, validation, and inspection processes for automotive lamp and mirror products throughout mass production, ensuring they meet established performance, safety, and regulatory standards
;
Drive process improvements and quality enhancements on the production line

Provide training and guidance to production and quality control
staff
on quality control techniques, inspection procedures, and best practices to ensure high standards are maintained on the production line

Work closely with design, engineering, and production
staff
to address quality-related concerns and ensure seamless transitions from prototype to mass production
;
Ensure that all production processes comply with regulatory and safety standards specific to automotive lighting systems, with a focus on quality assurance throughout mass production
;
Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks, driving continuous improvements and corrective actions across the production line

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field of study.
Over 10 years of experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry;
Several years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in automotive component manufacturing;
