SL Alabama, LLC HR Specialist in Alexander City, Alabama
- Provide consultation on compensation and benefits programs, ensuring that wage structures, performance bonuses, and benefits align with headquarters and SL Alabama's policies and local U.S. laws;
- Manage and coordinate employee welfare programs, ensuring that maternity/paternity leave, childcare leave, and flexible working hours comply with internal policies and local legal requirements;
- Advise on labor relations and union matters, effectively navigating collective bargaining agreements and addressing employee grievances;
- Develop and deliver training sessions on workplace behavior, keeping the organization updated on harassment prevention policies and HR best practices;
- Address and resolve workplace conflicts related to wage disputes, harassment, and safety concerns , ensuring adherence to corporate policies and legal obligations throughout the resolution process ;
- Manage workplace accidents and implement corrective actions to address safety violations, ensuring compliance with labor standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (O SHA ) regulations;
- Draft and review employment contracts, collective bargaining agreements employee handbooks, and HR policy documentation, ensuring alignment with U.S. labor laws and internal policies;
- Develop and implement policies on severance pay, retirement benefits, and workplace safety protocols, ensuring compliance with internal labor regulations and OSHA guidelines;
- Provide ongoing support to employees regarding severance pay, unemployment benefits, and workplace injury claims, ensuring that corporate policies are properly applied;
- Act as a liaison between headquarters and SL Alabama, collaborating with labor unions and labor committees to manage potential conflicts, including wage issues and safety violations, while fostering a positive labor environment;
- Create educational and promotional materials to effectively communicate HR policy updates, bridging the gap between Korean corporate guidelines and U.S. regulations, particularly regarding safety protocols ; and
- Write internal columns and reports on HR practices, workplace safety regulations, labor law updates, and employee relations, providing insights from a Korean legal perspective to support the company's global HR objectives .
Requirements:
- Experience in human resources and labor relations;
- Proficient in handling employee grievances and fostering positive labor relations ;
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address workplace disputes effectively ;
- Familiarity with compensation structures, benefits administration, and performance management systems ; and
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations, including the ability to implement corrective actions .
