Leidos Program Analyst/Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Leidos has an immediate need for a full-time Program Analyst/Engineer responsible for supporting the NNSA Office of Stockpile Modernization Assistant Deputy Administrator (ADA). This individual will provide technical, program and project management support to the NA-125 front office as well as liaison with other Defense Programs (DP), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Department of Defense (DoD) organizations associated with portfolio responsibilities. The work performed is extensive in scope and requires an experienced individual with demonstrated technical and program management expertise, ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, and interface with broad range of federal, military senior staff and leadership. This is a full-time contractor-support position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Albuquerque NM.

In this role, the individual will coordinate with NNSA federal and contractor staff, and Management and Operating (M&O) contractor personnel as required. The individual will help to provide a comprehensive, coordinated approach to successfully planning and executing the stockpile modernization portfolio. At a minimum, the ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the NNSA and Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) design and production sites and processes as well as a basic understanding of NNSA funding mechanisms. The individual will apply broad and diversified knowledge of respective systems engineering and program controls disciplines to coordinate and respond to tasks received by the front office. Understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within program control and program modernization processes. Exercise judgment, develop plans, and accomplish goals based upon program planning and mission performance. Work independently, creatively and under general supervision.

Relevant expertise and roles and responsibilities include:

  • Absorb broad objectives from management, then independently analyze, evaluate, and integrate solutions for unusually complex and diverse technical problems.

  • Tracking and managing Defense Programs, DoD, and Congressional actions and inquires.

  • Provide program coordination for the NNSA to sites to address program and portfolio requirements and inquiries.

  • Preparing program briefing outlines, assigning tasks to points of contact for products delivered, ensures level of detail is negotiated with the ADA and Stakeholders.

  • Interface with other NNSA offices and external stakeholders as necessary to respond to a variety of requests and technical study efforts.

  • Supporting special topic engagements as assigned.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active DOE Q and ability to obtain higher level specialized clearance(s).

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of technical experience in weapons/nuclear weapons and delivery platforms, including program/project management or systems engineering or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of technical experience in weapons/nuclear weapons and delivery platforms, including program/project management or systems engineering.

  • Depth of experience managing interfaces between NNSA/DOE, Nuclear National Laboratories and Nuclear Production Agencies, and DoD.

  • Experience managing Federal Program Office (FPO) plans and materials required for program execution.

  • Knowledge of the substantive nature of NNSA Nuclear Weapons programs and activities; missions, policies, and objectives; management principles and processes; and the analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency with emphasis of 6.X process and Defense Programs Business Process System.

  • Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing complex information and assessing program performance.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing and editing briefings and reports for senior and executive leadership, including the ability to remain a professional demeanor when presented with issues, and ability to work multiple issues at once and prioritize workload.

  • Knowledge of program and project management/scheduling tools, and appropriate expertise with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
